2nd Engineer – Offshore Cable Installation Project (Starting September)

We are looking for an experienced 2nd Engineer to join an offshore cable installation project starting in September. The role is based offshore, most likely in the UK, so preference will be given to candidates holding a UK Frontier Worker Permit or UK Settlement Status.
Scope of Work: The project involves working aboard a dedicated DP2 cable repair and installation vessel recently converted from a barge into a state-of-the-art offshore platform.
The vessel is equipped with:
A 50-ton offshore knuckleboom crane
Dual basket carousel for cable handling
8-point mooring system and DP2 capabilities, allowing operations in both shallow (beachable) and deep waters
Facilities for HVAC and HVDC inter-array cable, export cable, and interconnector repair and replacement
This vessel supports a wide range of offshore operations including renewables, salvage, and accommodation, making it a dynamic and engaging work environment.
Requirements:
Valid BOSIET certification
Preferably GWO Working at Heights (can be arranged if not currently held)
Experience in offshore engineering roles and Cable lay operations
