Oiler / Waste Controller – SSCV | UK Waters
at iPS Powerful People (Anywhere)
We are currently looking for an Oiler / Waste Controller to join a SSCV (Semi-Submersible Crane Vessel) operating in UK waters.
Engagement Details:
Onboarding start: 24 June 2026 (approx. 3 weeks)
Project options:
10 weeks from 19 August 2026
OR 5 weeks from 19 August 2026
OR 5 weeks from 23 September 2026
Flexibility available if 10-week commitment is too long.
Role Overview: The Waste Controller will be responsible for:
-Operating the incinerator
-Sorting waste to ensure proper and safe disposal processes
Assisting Engineers and Mechanics with:
-Repairs and overhauls
-Routine maintenance
-Performing daily equipment maintenance
Requirements:
-UK Frontier Worker Permit (FWP) or UK residence permit
-BOSIET with HUET and CA-EBS
-STCW Basic Safety Training
-STCW Security Awareness (A-VI/6-1)
-Valid STCW & OPITO-approved Medical Certificate
