Chief Engineer to join a multi-purpose DP2 vessel

at Sheffield Green (Anywhere)

Opening for a :-

Looking for an experienced Chief Engineer to join a multi-purpose DP2 vessel. The Vessel will mainly be involved with cable lay and repair works in shallow water areas.

The Chief Engineer will be responsible for the overall management of the engine department and the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all technical systems onboard.

1. Valid Certificate of Competency as Chief Engineer all ships III/2 (STCW compliant).
2. Experience as Chief Engineer on offshore, cable lay, or DP vessels/barges.
3. Strong knowledge of:
1. Diesel engines and generators
2. Electrical power distribution systems
3. Hydraulic systems
4. Marine automation and control systems
4. Experience with DP vessels and understanding of DP redundancy principles.
5. Experience with Planned Maintenance Systems (PMS).
6. Good command of English, spoken and written.
7. Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications
1. Experience on DP2 vessels/barges.
2. Familiarity with cable lay operations and equipment.
3. Knowledge of PLC and automation systems.
4. Basic electrical and welding skills.
5. Offshore certificates (e.g. fully STCW compliant).
6. DP Maintenance
