OSM Thome is seeking an experienced skilled and dedicated Barge Operator for offshore activities in the Femern Belt, between Denmark and Germany. The role involves operating winches and auxiliary equipment to connect and lower tunnel elements using Immersion pontoons.

Position Overview:

Role: Barge Operator (Chief Officer)
Location: Foreshore operations between Denmark and Germany. Based in Rødbyhavn (shore accommodation will be provided during off-shift hours).
Employer: Femern Link Contractors (FLC)
Project: Construction of Northern Europe’s longest-immersed tunnel
Salary: Will be provided on and off, under the relevant Danish CBA
Rotation: 28 days on/off
Duration: Permanent Contract
Taxation: Varies and will be discussed with shortlisted candidates
EU citizenship or residence in Denmark required

Qualifications / Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of marine experience as a Chief Officer in maritime or offshore sectors.
Strong conflict resolution, interpersonal, communication, and team-building skills.
Familiarity with computer-based maintenance programs for offshore units.
Completion of mandatory training and certification requirements.
Preferable experience with complex lifting, construction crane operations, and mooring operations
