Akira Energy is looking for an experienced Offshore Crane Operator (Stage 3) for a short-term offshore assignment within the offshore energy sector.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced crane operator who is available for the full project duration and committed to maintaining the highest safety standards offshore.

Key responsibilities:

Operate offshore cranes safely and efficiently during lifting operations
Carry out pre-use inspections and basic equipment maintenance
Coordinate lifting activities with riggers, deck crew, and supervisors
Ensure all lifting operations comply with offshore HSE procedures
Complete lift logs, inspection reports, and operational documentation
Participate in emergency drills and offshore safety initiatives

We’re looking for candidates with:

Proven experience as an Offshore Crane Operator (Stage 3)
Strong knowledge of offshore lifting operations and rigging practices
Excellent communication skills in English
Ability to work safely and effectively in a fast-paced offshore environment
Strong safety mindset and team-oriented approach

Mandatory certifications:

Offshore Crane Operator Certificate (Stage 3)
VCA (VOL-VCA preferred)
BOSIET / FOET (including HUET)
Valid Offshore Medical
NOGEPA 2.2 – Offshore First Aid
NOGEPA 2.6 – Fire Fighting & Rescue Team
NOGEPA 1.1 – Helicopter Landing Officer (HLO)
NOGEPA 2.7 – Lifeboat Coxswain
