Danish company BSO Svendborg is looking for an experienced seafarer with a strong background in marine painting and corrosion maintenance for the position of BSO Foreman. The role involves travelling worldwide and joining vessels of our clients to: ⚓ Conduct initial onboard inspections ⚓ Train and guide crew in proper corrosion maintenance ⚓ Demonstrate correct surface preparation, chipping, grinding, priming and painting techniques ⚓ Support and motivate the crew during maintenance work ⚓ Monitor progress according to BSO internal procedures ⚓ Communicate with the vessel and BSO in English ⚓ Provide regular reports on work and progress onboard Conditions: USD 3,000 gross/month 20 days working / 10 days off ✈️ Worldwide travel and flights covered by the employer Requirements: Strong hands-on experience in marine painting and corrosion maintenance Previous experience as Marine Painter, Bosun, Senior AB or similar Good knowledge of surface preparation and marine coatings Good working English Valid seafarer's documents and Seaman's Book Willingness to travel worldwide Ability to teach, explain and work with multinational crews We are not simply looking for a painter. We need an experienced marine professional who knows the job, can lead by example and can teach vessel crews how to perform corrosion maintenance properly.
