Senior deck officer and head of the deck department, reporting to the Master. You will lead cargo operations, stability and deck maintenance, in line with SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM and ISPS.

Requirements:

• At least 1.9 years sea time as Chief Officer on oil/chemical tankers
• Valid STCW II/2 Chief Mate CoC, Advanced Oil Tanker and Advanced Chemical Tanker (V/1-1) and all required certificates
• Willing to sail through HRA areas if vessel trading requires

Characteristics & skills:

• Cargo planning, loading and discharging
• Framo/deepwell cargo pump operations
• IG system and nitrogen generator
• COW and tank cleaning
• Stability, ballast and loading computer
• Vetting inspections (SIRE 2.0, CDI)
• Deck crew supervision and maintenance

Candidate must have previous Chief Officer experience on the same vessel type with a similar deadweight.
