Engine watchkeeping officer, reporting to the Second Engineer. You will stand watch and maintain the auxiliary machinery assigned to you, in line with SOLAS, MARPOL and ISM.

Requirements:

• At least 1 year as Fourth Engineer on oil/chemical tankers
• Valid STCW III/1 CoC, Advanced Oil Tanker (V/1-1), Advanced Chemical Tanker (V/1-1) and all required certificates

Characteristics & skills:

• Engine room watchkeeping (UMS)
• Purifiers, compressors, pumps and OWS/sewage systems
• Cargo pump support (e.g. Framo deepwell hydraulic systems)
• Nitrogen generator and IG system basics
• Fuel and lube oil transfers
• PMS routines and maintenance records
• Safe working practices and teamwork
