The Electro-Technical Officer is responsible for the maintenance, servicing, and safe operation of all electrical, electronic, and automation systems on board an LPG tanker, reporting to the Chief Engineer, in full compliance with SOLAS, MARPOL, the IGC Code, ISM, and company procedures.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year in an ETO rank
• ME-C or MC-C previous experience in an ETO rank on LPG

Characteristics & skills:

• Maintenance and troubleshooting of MAN B&W ME-C electronically controlled engine systems, including hydraulic and control units;
• Servicing of LPG cargo-related electrical/electronic systems: reliquefaction plants, cargo compressors, and pumps;
• Operation and upkeep of main and emergency switchboards, generators, and power-distribution systems;
• Fault diagnosis and repair of instrumentation, PLCs, and automation/monitoring systems;
• Knowledge of Ex/intrinsically-safe fittings and gas-carrier electrical safety requirements;
• Knowledge of high-voltage systems and safety procedures;
• Competence in planned maintenance systems (PMS) and spare-parts management.

Candidate must have previous ETO experience on the same vessel type with a similar deadweight.
